While her house has been shown before, no one who lived in the house besides her has been mentioned or shown. She used to look up to Rainbow Dash as an idol figure, and still does, but now see's her more as family rather then merely a hero. As her biggest fan, Scootaloo always admired Dash more then her average fans, founding a fan club for her and often wearing makeshift Rainbow Dash gear/merchandise. While Dash initially saw Scootaloo as just an adoring fan, she was endeared by her enthusiasm and has since considered her like a little sister to her. Scootaloo's earlier life has been elaborated on to much, she became friends with Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle during ''[[Call of the Cutie]]'' though huddled up to them in ''[[Friendship is Magic - Part 1]]''. Not much of Scootaloo's personal life is known. She's rarely seen alone, almost all of her appearances is in the company of her friends, Rainbow Dash and on are occasions, Discord or Fluttershy. She appears to have several friends at [[Ponyville Schoolhouse]], or at least several ponies she hangs out with other then Apple Bloom or Sweetie. Likewise, she's shown to be friends with the Mane Six, other then Rainbow Dash she's quite close with Twilight Sparkle and Fluttershy. Being someone so young, Scootaloo has not engaged in as much grand of adventures as her honorary older sister has, but she's still endured many great adventures in her own right. The house has two white pillars. The house features several plants all over the house. The house appears to be at or near the edges of Ponyville, given all that appears to be on its left is trees. Not much of the inside of the house is known, however. Scootaloo has a fairly large looking room with green-blue walls and and purple drapes. She has a wooden bed decorated with hearts with a green blanket. The bed is against a pillar that contains a painting of a sunset. On the other side of the pillar, their exists a shelf with a book, a teddy bear and a basketball. Above the shelve, there is a photo or portrait of Rainbow Dash. In spite of her tomboyish personality, the room is filled with several feminine items. She has a rug with a flower, two actual flowers and a poster containing several hearts. Next to her flowers, she appears to have a box containing her bits. Her room appears to be somewhat barren, or at least very well kept and tidy. The fillies talk about the possibilities they have to discover their cutie marks, which garnered a crowd around them of curious fillies. After finding a table, the three introduce each other and decided to become friends. The three decide to from their own "secret society" in ode to find their cutie marks. After a few name ideas, Apple Bloom thought of "The Cutie Mark Crusaders", which Scootaloo said was perfect! During one of their hang out sessions, Scootaloo was going to have a sleep over Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle at Carousel Boutique. Unfortunately, after an accident involving Sweetie and Gold Silk, the sleep over was called off. Visibly upset, Scootaloo and the others sulked, but Fluttershy stepped in and said they could sleep over at her cottage instead. While Rarity tied to warn her, Fluttershy accepted them with open hooves. Elated, the three dashed over to Fluttershy's house in no time. Of course, Fluttershy had a different idea of what a sleepover would be like but the girls didn't pay attention. Now at the cottage, the girls made quite the ruckus as Fluttershy tried to settle them down. The girls announced their plans to go to the Everfree Forest, but Fluttershy shot it down instantly. She eventually managed to get the girls to sit down and started to play a game with them called "[[Shhh]]", where the first pony to speak is the loser. Scootaloo quickly "lost" the game. Sent to bed, the three girls quickly escaped the cottage and journeyed into the Everfree Forest without Fluttershy's permission. Braving the forest, Scootaloo was largely unfazed by the forest, but freaked out when she came across the stoned body of Twilight Sparkle. The work of a being called a "Cockatrice", Fluttershy came to their aid and forced the Cockatrice to flee, saving Scootaloo, her friends and Twilight Sparkle in the process. An old, rundown and ruined treehouse. The girls are disappointed, but stuck with it. Sometime later, Scootaloo was designing a map. Later, she zoomed through Ponyville on her Scooter. After a series of death-defying stunts, Scootaloo met up with Apple Bloom at the now refurbished treehouse. The three go over their plans and ambitions and do a variety of task such as farming, candy making, baking, scuba-diving, etc, all to varying degrees of failure. Twilight and Cheerilee brought a talent show to the three fillies attention and the three decided to participate in that. Scootaloo tried writing and singing a song for their act, but after a peak of frustration, Sweetie Belle took over. Their practice was, as expected, loud and a little destructive but Applejack was supportive the whole time through. Nonetheless, Scootaloo was confident in their abilities. On the day of the actual show, the three fillies were all dressed up as hair metal rockers. Their preference was a train wreck, however. Scootaloo was the main singer. In spite of the crowd laughing at them, the fillies believed they won the contest. After learning they lost, Twilight helped cheer them up and they went home, satisfied.<ref name = STOPPERS>{{E|The Show Stoppers}}</ref> [[File:Scootaloo covered in tree sap 2 S1E23.png|thumb|250px|left|Scootaloo failing to get her cutie mark - again]] On a bright blue day, the Cutie Mark Crusaders were once again trying to find their cutie mark. This time, by zip-lining off of a tall tree. Scootaloo was, of course, apprehensive, but Scootaloo decided to do it anyway. They tried, but they failed and ended up getting covered in sap. After realizing they had no cutie marks yet, Sweetie Belle wanted to try out "Plan B", but with the lack of a cannon, Scootaloo turned it down. Apple Bloom suggested they ask how somepony already got their cutie mark, which Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo agreed with, with Scootaloo deciding to get advice from the coolest Pony in Ponyville. Getting on her Scootaloo's scooter, the girls set off...only to nearly hit some [[Rabbits|bunnies]] in the process. They met up with Applejack and though Scootaloo was initially hesitant to ask her for help, conceded that they needed all the help they could get. Applejack told the three fillies about how she got her cutie mark. After being told a sweet story about Applejack's upbringing, Scootaloo gagged. Once again, the three fillies got on the scooter and set off, this time nearly hitting some [[Ducks|ducks]] but were stopped by Fluttershy. Fluttershy told them her story, though Scootaloo was more interested in Rainbow Dash. After leaving, Sweetie Belle suggested they go to Rarity for help, so Scootaloo went to [[Carousel Boutique]]. There, Scootaloo tried on a dress and helped Rarity with some measuring. Disappointed by yet another namby-pamby story, Scootaloo later met up with Twilight Sparkle who told her of her exam. Later, Scootaloo encountered Pinkie Pie to told them her story. The story, with Pinkie's continued antics, only left Scootaloo confused. Now at [[Sugarcube Corner]], Scootaloo finally met up with Rainbow Dash. After being told her story, Scootaloo was in total awe. After realizing how all the stories were connected, the Main Six hugged each other, causing Scootaloo to gag. Admiring Spike's dedication, Rainbow Dash made a remark about how she wished she had someone to do all of her things, which of course Scootaloo leaped at the opportunity to do. Dash ordered Scootaloo to take out her trash, which Scootaloo did enthusiastically. Later, in the presence of her idol and best friends, Scootaloo watched the meteor shower with wonder and awe. <ref name = OWL>{{E|Owl's Well That Ends Well}}</ref> While on a field trip with the rest of her class, Scootaloo was taken to the [[Grass Maze]] and passed by several statues of historical figures in Equestria's long and well-storied history. The group past by a statue of a "[[draconequus]]". Cheerilee remarked that his body was made of many such things, and asked her class what it meant. Scootaloo piped that it meant "Chaos", while Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle thought "Confusion" and "Evil" respectively. The three friends get in a heated argument-turned-physical-fight over the meaning of the statue. Breaking up the fight, Cheerilee informed them that they were ''all'' right, as it represented "discord". The chaos caused by the girls fight was enough to free Discord from his statue-prison, causing chaos to plight Equestria once again.<ref name = RETURN>{{E|The Return of Harmony - Part 1}}</ref> While playing ball with her fellow CMC friends, Scootaloo and the others were unfortunately the target of a crazy Twilight Sparkle. In spite of Scootaloo's typical bravery, even she is scared by the sight that presented itself before her as she knelled out of fear of the crazy unicorn. Twilight dangled her own doll, [[Smarty Pants]] in front of them trying to get them to appreciate it. Now more uncomfortable then scared, Scootaloo and the others are mostly at a lost for words. Unsatisfied, Twilight the doll under the "[[Want it, Need it]]" spell, which caused the three girls to fall in love with the doll and get into a fight over it. Eventually, virtually all of Ponyville fell ill to the doll's power and Scootaloo clashed with several ponies in order to get it for herself. While fighting with [[Shoeshine]], Scootaloo was cured of the curse and went about her life.<ref name = ZERO>{{E|Lesson Zero}}</ref> On [[Nightmare Night]], Scootaloo was dressed as a [[Wolf]]. She attended [[Mayor Mare]]'s speech, and later dumped her [[Candy]] over at the [[Nightmare Moon statue]]. She was scared when [[Zecora]] used her [[Zebra magic]] to create a [[Nightmare Moon illusion]] to 'attack' Scootaloo and the ponies she was grouped with as a prank. Paired with [[Pinkie's Nightmare Night group]], she was scared of [[Princess Luna]] when she was trying to fit in. <ref name = LE>{{E|Luna Eclipsed}}</ref> Meeting up at the [[Bowling Ally]] with Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle, Scootalooo was determined to get her Cutie Mark in [[Bowling]]. After a brief debate on what to name their bowling team, the girls decided to go with "[[The Bowling Dolls]]", a title Scootaloo was enthusiastic about. After Sweetie Belle's failing to knock down any pin, Scootaloo ended up back kicking her bowling ball, causing a chain reaction with a bowling ball bouncing throughout the air. After the disastrous game, none of the girls received a Cutie Mark, leaving Apple Bloom miserable. Scootaloo tried cheering up her friend by performing stunts, taking her out to eat and other activities, but none of it worked. Ultimately, Scootaloo and Sweetie decided to give Apple Bloom some space. The next day at the school, Scootaloo was impressed by Apple Bloom's new Cutie Mark. Scootaloo enthusiastically cheered on Apple Bloom as she performed with the [[Loopty-hoop]]. When Apple Bloom passed the loopty-hoop to her, Scootaloo couldn't loop it at all. Scootaloo watched in amazement as Apple Bloom received a ''second'' Cutie Mark and followed her throughout town, watching her amazing talents. After Apple Bloom's curse wore off, Scootaloo encouraged Apple Bloom to try her hoofs at a potion maing Cutie Mark. Together, the three fillies marched off to Zecora's hut.<ref name = TCP>{{E|The Cutie Pox}}</ref> Scootaloo was hosting the Rainbow Dash fan club and got in a brief argument with Snips and Snails over what Rainbow Dash should be called. Later, Scootaloo invited Rainbow Dash to come see the [[Mare-Do-Well]].<ref name = TMMDW>{{E|The Mysterious Mare-Do-Well}}</ref> Scootaloo tried to keep a [[Greed Growth]] infected Spike from stealing her scooter, though he eventually lost interest.<ref name = SomE>{{E|Secret of My Excess}}</ref> Scootaloo traveled to [[Canterlot]] and hung out with [[Ruby Pinch]] during [[Hearths Warming Eve]]. She later saw the ''[[Founding of Equestria]]'' play with Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle.<ref name = HWE>{{E|Hearths Warming Eve}}</ref> During an unbearable report on the economy of Ponyville and [[Filthy Rich's Barnyard Bargains]], Scootaloo had her face slouched in a book. Sometime after school, Apple Bloom was in great distress over the idea of [[Granny Smith]] coming to her school for the next [[Family Appreciation Day (holiday)|Family Appreciation Day]]. Scootaloo and Sweetie tried to calm their friend, but it wasn't working. Scootaloo came up with an idea to make Apple Bloom appear sick in time for the presentation. While their effort was respectable, Granny Smith didn't buy it. Instead, Scootaloo and the others tried to harvest the apples early. Unfortunately, the magic of the zap apples proved to difficult to harvest early. Their next bright idea was to prop up Granny's sleeping body. They managed to puppet her body with ropes fairly well. They asked Cheerilee to visit them in order to cancel the presentation, but unfortunately, Granny woke up before they could cancel the meeting. Their last plan was the most simple of all, to tell Granny Smith that their [[Uncle Apple Strudel]] was visiting. Scootaloo delivered the [[telegram]] and the three girls ushered her of to the [[Ponyville Train Station]]. The plan failed and Granny Smith delivered the presentation anyway. Scootaloo found herself enamored in the story Granny Smith told and clapped for her when it was over. After school, Scootaloo enjoyed [[Zap Apple]] products with [[Tuffle]], [[Twist]] and her other friends and even did the [[bunny hop]].<ref name = FAM>{{E|Family Appreciation Day}}</ref> {{Clear}} <!--> ====Kidnapped by the wicked queen==== </--> ===Cloudgate=== After the Gremlins created a storm across all of Ponyville and humiliated Rainbow Dash, Scootaloo was interviewed by [[PNN]] about [[Cloudgate]]. Scootaloo was nervous and scared, but found humor and levity in the situation, telling Apple Bloom how much she wanted a "saves Ponyville from certaind doom" Cutie Mark. Princess Celestia was proud of the girl's desires, telling them that any contribution a make a difference. Before they could get to their stations however, Nightmare Rarity blighted them with her presence, a relief on the moon. Celestia protected Scootaloo from the image, though she couldn't help but mourn for her sister. Her levity was broken when Luna returned from the moon, telling them that their sisters were captured and were at the mercy of Nightmare. Nearly in tears, the Crusaders tried to comfort each other in the hard time. Regardless, Scootaloo and her friends stood strong and participated in the battles, managing to defeat a [[Nightmare Monster]] in the process. When Luna was injured in the battle, Scootaloo ran to comfort her, telling Luna that she was one of them now, and that they would never let her bare such a burden alone. Scootaloo witnessed the fall of Nightmare Rarity from a safe distance. {{clear}} ===Summer Wrap Up festival=== [[File:FIM9 At the festival.png|thumb|250px|Scootaloo at the festival]] A week prior to the festival, Scootaloo started working on an [[Cutie Mark Crusaders Summer arts and crafts project|arts and crafts project]] with Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle. She and her friends later decided the code word for when to activate their project, "pirate". Scootaloo attended the [[Summer Wrap Up festival]] with Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle. The three bumped into Big McIntosh early in the festival. The girls were enthusiastic about showing Big Mac their arts and craft protect - boxes and boxes of fireworks. Although Big Mac was scared, he praised the girls for their work. Scootaloo proudly proclaimed her plan, how she would light the fireworks after the Hoedown "ripping up into the sky", though Sweetie Belle misunderstood her and lit the fireworks as she was talking. The fireworks flew into the air and landed in [[Hays Hardware]], almost completely destroying the shop and causing a massive explosion that ruffled Scootaloo's mane. Still using Octavia's cart, Scootaloo somehow got even more fireworks, though once again, Sweetie Belle fired them off. After destroying the [[Craft Tent]], Scootaloo and the others decided to use a [[Catapult]] to launch their fireworks. Once again they bumped into Big Mac and knocked him down, though apologized. Still annoyed at Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo complained that it was all her fault, but Sweetie agrees it was her fault. Wanting to test his special talent of cutting things, Snips cut the rope keeping Scootaloo's catapult down, launching the fireworks somewhere in the distance. The girls decided to look for more fireworks in town. Now with more fireworks than ever, Scootaloo and her friends ran into Big Mac and asked him if he wanted to see their display. When he agreed, she went to set up her fireworks. Later that night, the girls managed to shoot off their fireworks without a hitch, covering the sky as everypony watched on in content. After a brief argument with Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom about what to do next when the three heard singing coming from outside their clubhouse. The three Cutie Mark <s>Invaders</s> Crusaders rushed out to find Discord singing in the Sweet Apple Acres, transforming the apples with his tunes. Of course, the Crusaders are naturally concerned that Discord is up to no good (with Scootaloo being the most outwardly spoken about it), but Discord insisted he was up to good by lending Applejack a helping hand. To show hsi good deeds, he fed the girls his enchanted apples. Scootaloo wanted an apple that tasted like [[Habenero Peppers]] while Sweetie Belle wanted one that tasted like Apple Pie, which garnered a confused look from Apple Bloom and Scootaloo. The three fillies discuss in private, though it took them awhile to all be on the same page, they soon began to discuss how Discord could help them get their cutie marks. Scootaloo decided that while Discord can do anything...she can't think of anything new. They dragged Discord into their clubhouse and asked him to help them get their cutie marks. Discord agreed and with a snap of the finger, the entire world changed around them. [[File:PTV1 Fire.png|250px|thumb|left|Cutie Mark Firefighters]] In the first world, Scootaloo and her friends found themselves in an iceskating competition with Discord calling them the "Cutie Mark Contrivers", which Scootaloo corrected. The girls were doing quite well at first, with Sweetie Belle giving the stand out performance but the eventually crash into each other. Their scores, given by the judges of three Discords, were "Cucumber" "@" and "π" respectively. In the second world, the crusaders were playing a game of hoofball against [[Harry]], Spike Angel Bunny and the Gremlins. Scootaloo dived for the ball, but Angel snatched it before her and before long, the girls lost. For the next trial, Discord forced them into the roles of lion tamers, only to discover that Scootaloo and her friends already ''done'' it and find it quite mundane. Next, they tried wire walking, but the girls already did wire walking too. Next, Discord threw the girls into firefighting, but once again, they already did that. Fustrated, Discord decided to step up his game and prove to the girls why he was the lord of chaos in the first place. The next trial was a go-karting competition on motorized wagons between the girls. Expectedly, Scootaloo was the most enthusiastic about the venture, but the wheels on her wagon fell off, causing her to nearly crash. In the next trial, Scootaloo and the others were in a spaceship. Confronted by [[General Opalescence]] they plead that they mean no harm, but after Opalescence fires yarn torpedoes at the girls, Scootaloo demands that they separate the two pieces of the ship. In the next trial, Scootaloo finds herself as the [[Orange Pony]] as she helped pilot the [[Mega-Pony]] as they battle against a kaiju-sized [[Gummy]]. After they're handily defeated, Scootaloo started to tear up that not even ''Discord'' could help them. Growing increasingly fustrated, Discord goes in full force. In the next trial, Scootaloo was an eye-patch-wearing pirate walking the plank. Then a bird themed superhero over a vat of acid, then a beatnik poet, then a delinquent. In the next trial, Scootaloo was an adventurer whose party lost the Ring of Power in their adventures. In their final trial, the three were playing [[Oubliettes and Ogres]], although Sweetie and Apple Bloom were getting really into it, Scootaloo was bored out of her mind. Although Discord is about to take it up another notch, Sweetie Belle gave Discord a heartfelt thank you. One after another, the girls thanked and hugged Discord for his effort, causing the lord of chaos to cry. Scootaloo and her friends were overjoyed at Discord's return and although his playing was a bit rough, they had a blast together. After "rolling out", Fluttershy rained on their parade and tried to make them do standard activities like watching birds, but the girls sneaked off to play with an alligator. Discord encouraged Scootaloo to poke the alligator with a stick. Fluttershy quickly scooped them up. Afterwards, Discord suggested that they do a little time travel to learn about animals. Scootaloo and the others got loaded into Discord's time machine (which he stole from [[Dr. Hooves]]). Scootaloo remarked that the time machine was very, very small on the inside, despite it being huge on the inside and she's squished against a wall, Apple Bloom and Fluttershy. The friends are quickly arrested by the jackals as Discord "made a mess" in Anugypt sometime before. While she was nonchalant about it at first, after realizing she could get hurt or worse while in the past, Scootaloo scrunched up in fear. Now in the presence of [[King Anubis]], who threatened to banish Discord and the others to the dungeon. The group was saved at the last minute by Baast and the Cats of Harmony, who defeated Anubis and took out his guards. Scootaloo and the others notice an uncanny and head-splitting similarity between the cats and the Bearers of Harmony but chose to ignore it for the time being. When Baast began flirting with Discord, Scootaloo gave the two a playful smirk. When Baast threatened Fluttershy for taking, Discord away from her Discord quickly grabbed the girls and escaped into his time machine. [[File:V6 Dinosaurs.jpg|thumb|Scootaloo encountering dinosaurs]] The group briefly traveled into the distant future, but to avoid spoilers, Discord didn't show the girls it. They then traveled to "[[Coltantis]]". Eventually they made their way in the age of the Dinosaurs. While Discord was lounging about, Scootaloo, Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle were snatched by a [[Giant Carnivorous Bird]]. Fluttershy dashed to save the girls but passed out before she could make it. Realizing the error of his ways, Discord saved the girls himself and the girls sat by Fluttershy's side until she awoke. Once Fluttershy met the [[Butterdragon]] named [[Hubert]], Scootaloo and the others went back to the time machine and went back to the present day.<ref name = FIM24>{{C|FIM|24}}</ref> While exploring Discord's dreams and nightmares, Luna came across Discord's greatest nightmare of all - a future where he and the Cutie Mark Crusaders became extremely close friends. She saw a world where Discord lovingly played with the girls and Fluttershy, turning them into space cowgirls and being apart of a "space mutiny" with them, huggin and just enjoying each others company. When questioned about this, Discord claimed he really cares for the girls, but he was afraid he'd hurt them like he did during to Fluttershy and Twilight during the Tirek incident. Luna melted away Discord's fears and the next morning, he reunited with the Cutie Mark Crusaders and the group played together once more, as great friends.<ref name = FF20>{{C|FF|20}}</ref> ===Umbra war=== Scootaloo played a pivotal role in the [[Umbra war]]. She was the gunner for the [[Cutie Mar Crusaders tank unit]], manning the [[Rodeo Flyer]] [[Apple Cannon]]. She managed to save Applejack, Rarity, Big Mac and Granny Smith by blasting [[Umbra]] away with her apples. When the Umbra used their magic to create a [[U-Shaped umbra cannon|U-shaped cannon]], Scootaloo open fire without hesitation. Her gusto backfired as the apples she fired came back to hit her. When Twilight, Rainbow Dash, Rarity and Pinkie traveled to [[Gallonghost Island]], they witnessed a pirate doppelganger of [[Pirate (Scootaloo)|Scootaloo]] enjoying time with her fellow pirates resembling [[Pirate (Sweetie Belle)|Sweetie Belle]] and [[Pirate (Apple Bloom)|Apple Bloom]].<ref name = FIM13>{{C|FIM|13}}</ref> As the Mane Six traveled to an [[Mirror Universe|alternate dimension]], the Cutie Mark Crusaders still were together.<ref name = FIM23>{{C|FIM|23}}</ref> As Ponyville was being overridden by fictional characters, Scootaloo was brain-washed by a [[Hypnotizing snake|large snake]]. Somehow either breaking the control or no longer being deemed interesting by the snake, Scootaloo later regrouped with the Cutie Mark Crusaders and confronted the [[Queen of Trottingham]], threatening her that if she continued to let Ponyville burn in dragonfire, that their sisters would "zap [her] tuchus to the moon". Unwittingly letting the dark queen know of the elements of harmony. Taking the girls advice, Trottingham had her subjects tear apart Ponyville in order to find the artifacts. Ponyville continued to burn while Scootaloo was on the run, though the day was eventually saved by [[Bookworm]].<ref name = FIM19>{{C|FIM|19}}</ref> [[File:V10 Fieldtrip.png|thumb|250px|Scootaloo on her field trip]] While on a [[field trip]] in the [[Foal Mountains]], Scootaloo was splashed by a wave caused by an [[Orphan Bird]], leaving her mane a mess. As her class was about to move further into the mountains, Apple Bloom started to search for the Turul. Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle stayed behind with their friend. Believing they spotted the Turul, the girls were soon confronted by Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon. The girls decided to chase the bird and were soon tagged along by Snips and Snails. Soon, the group of foals found themselves lost in the mountains. Deciding to go back the way they came, each group moved in different directions, further solidifying that they were completely lost. Scootaloo got in an argument with Sweetie Belle over the directions. Scootaloo and her friends decided to follow Silver Spoon and Diamond Tiara, though the party soon resize they were only moving deeper in the mountains. The grouped start arguing, but came to somewhat of an agreement when Apple Bloom normalized the situation. Later, Snips and Snails emerged from the bushes singing about how they were the [[Mountain Kings]], causing the fillies to scream out in horror.<ref name = FIM38>{{C|FIM|38}}</ref> [[File:V10 Scootaloos test.png|thumb|250px|left|Scootaloo's test]] The foals decided to stay put, however that decision was quickly overturn Scootaloo heard a scary noise. Scootaloo and Apple Bloom ran back to save her, but couldn't get her unstuck. Snips and Snails ran back, using their horns to dig out Sweetie's hoof. Now free, the group managed to run away from the bear. With the help of Diamond Tiara, Scootaloo and her friends found shelter in a small [[Burrow (Foal Mountains)|burrow]]. Scootaloo huddled with Apple Bloom and when it was clear the bear was gone, she started dancing in celebration. Scootaloo and the others climbed out of the burrow, only to realize they were even more lost now than ever. The foals decided to combine the magic of the three unicorns so they could send a signal. Scootaloo was increasingly getting annoyed of Snips and Snails behavior, though encouraged them nonetheless. After Tiara and Silver Spoon berated the unicorns for their failure, Scootaloo jumped to their defense. Tiara suggested Scootaloo to fly up and survey the land. Although nervous, Scootaloo attempted to do so with the encouragement of her friends, but failed to fly more than a few inches. After her failure, Tiara admitted she didn't have any real faith in Scootaloo and just asked her to do it to see her fail.<ref name = FIM38/> [[File:V10 Unusual heroes.png|thumb|Finally the hero|250px]] Furious at Tiara's pettiness, the Cutie Mark Crusaders left her and Diamond Tiara to hike the mountain. Snips and Snails, and eventually Silver Spoon followed suit. Scootaloo asked Apple Bloom if they should wait for Tiara, showing concern for her well-being. Afraid of being alone, Diamond Tiara also followed, but in her haste, she almost fell off the mountain side. Clinging to a branch, Diamond Tiara's life hanged in the balance. Scootaloo watched on in worry as Apple Bloom tried to save her life with a stick. Apple Bloom fell off the mountain as well, though managed to cling onto Tiara's tail.<ref name = FIM38></ref> Silver Spoon commanded Scootaloo to fly up to a branch and grab it so they could use it to save the two girls. Although Scootaloo was apprehensive, Silver Spoon barked that they would fall if she didn't. Scootaloo used Silver Spoon as a boost as Sweetie Belle, Snips and Snails used their magic to levitate her up to the branch. With the combined strength of everypony, they managed to pull up Tiara and Apple Bloom, saving their lives. As soon as the foals had a much needed rest, a storm brewed.<ref name = FIM39>{{C|FIM|39}}</ref> Scootaloo and the others trekked the mountain in the storm. After awhile, the storm ended and Scootaloo and the others encountered a beautiful rainbow in the horizon. Snips and Snails yelled for help, causing an avalanche. Scootaloo suggested they look for shelter. In doing so, they eventually came across a [[Foal cave|cave]]. Apple Bloom suggested they use it to sleep, but Scootaloo was skeptical. The foals explored the cave, but it quickly went dark. Snips and Snails lit a fire in the cave, lighting it up. Scootaloo, Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom discussed how they should divvy up their food for [[Dinner|dinner]], but couldn't eat in peace due to Tiara's nasty behavior towards Snips and Snails. Scootaloo was taken aback when Tiara blurted out that she was better than everypony, but after the shock, Tiara explained what she meant. After a heart-to-heart, the children all managed to give a heartful laugh. After pelting Tiara and Silver Spoon with candy, the kids heard a [[Cave creature of Foal Mountains|loud cry of an unknown creature]]. Later, Scootaloo huddled behind Apple Bloom and eventually fell asleep on Apple Bloom. After waking up, Scootaloo and the others were blessed with the presence of their [[Ponyvill Schoolhouse search party|search party]]. Flying on the back of [[Rainbow Dash]], Scootaloo landed safey in Ponyville and gave her "older sister" a high five.<ref name = FIM39/> Scootaloo was glad she may have finally become friends with Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon, but it was quickly apparent that they were back to their old selves before long. What sets her apart from her friends is that Scootaloo always aspires to be more then what she can be, or at least can be at the current moment. While this ambitious nature has caused occasional grief and insecurities, it has kept her sharp and very willing to try new things, at least once. A gentle soul, Scootaloo is willing to set aside her goals in order to do the right thing and help others out. As such, Scootaloo bonds well with others and has gained a wide circle of friends outside of the CMC and the Main Six. Sometimes, it's been been shown that she's not very bright on the academic side, not knowing basic facts and word meanings, but has shown to be rather clever in other areas. A quick learner by nature, Scootaloo has amassed a wide variety of unique skills, such as lion taming, parkour and can perform some truly daredevil like stunts on her little scooter. Scootaloo is a tomboy at heart and has taken after Rainbow Dash very much so. She shares the same athletic, headstrong and brash traits with her mentor, but Scootaloo is more outwardly emotional and loving. While she tries to hide her emotions, she rarely does a good job at it and has hugged her close friends on any occasions to show her love. Scootaloo is also more outwardly feminine, or at least tolerats feminine traits more, as her room was decorated with several flowers and hearts. Although she's not a fighter by nature, Scootaloo is more then willing to help fight if it means protecting others. During the [[Battle for Ponyville]], Scootaloo teamed up with her class room and Cheerilee to take down Nightmare Rarity's soldiers, and she helped fight against the [[Tantabus]] with her fellow Ponyville citizens. She saw the good in Diamond Tiara and never saw her exactly as an enemy, despite how awful she could be towards Scootaloo. Furthermore, Scootaloo felt absolutely awful about publishing gossip on her fellow Ponyville citizens and eventually wrote a heartfelt apology to them. This is remarkable as her idol and "older sister", Rainbow Dash, has trouble with just that, often holding negative feelings on people who crossed her. Like her friends, Scootaloo has a bad business sense, and has spent large amounts of money (in the form of Gems) on a single machine she only used once. Although she truly does love her friends, Scootaloo has gotten into fights with them on plenty of occasions. She got into a physical fight with her fellow CMC friends when they argued over the true nature of Discord, and she constantly teases Sweetie Belle being smarter then her in academic terms. She's easily freaked out and was sickened by seeing Spike in the shower by accident. Scootaloo is sometimes prone to freaking out and overreactions, though is generally down-to-earth (ha) and reasonable. Scootaloo is often at odds with Diamond Tiara, though is mostly use to her bullying and abuse and thus doesn't get as upset with it. Scootaloo doesn't enjoy [[Ogres and Oubliettes]], finding it to be a drag. She even has a romantic side to her, even if she doesn't want to show it. She tried to get Cheerilee to date Big Mac, so both could be happy for Hearts and Hooves Day. Scootaloo agreed to go on a nature trail with Fluttershy, though adamantly claimed it was a "Dangerous Animal Tracking" adventure instead. Despite her love and affection for her friends, Scootaloo has a slightly more strained relationship with Sweetie Belle than with Apple Bloom. Given Sweetie Belle's more feminine, cautious and gentle personality, Scootaloo occasionally clashes with her and sometimes makes fun of her for her intelligence and vocabulary, or her goodie-two shoes nature, but this is (usually) good-natured ribbing and not actual content. She has on occasion gotten in actual fights with her friends, but they're few and far between. It's clear her friends love Scootaloo just as much as she loves them, as whenever Scootaloo feels down or upset for one reason or another, they're always willing to cheer her up. Scootaloo looks up to Discord like a 'cool uncle', she loves playing with him and going on wacky adventures throughout space and time with him. Likewise, although Discord is scared to show it, he really does care about Scootaloo more than just a plaything, and his greatest nightmare would to become like family to the Cutie Mark Crusaders and Fluttershy, as he feared he would mess it up and hurt them. ====Other friends==== Although they rarely show it, Snips and Snails care for the Cutie Mark Crusaders a lot. Scootaloo loved and admired Dash for her heroism and abilities, but Dash didn't think highly of Scoots, sometimes talking down to her or using her as a means of easy labor. In spite of this, it was clear Dash cared for Scootaloo, though not terribly much. She did save her from Queen Chrysalis, seemingly not because she loved her, but because she knew it was the right thing to do. Regardless, she personally protected her by using her own body as a shield when Twilight's magic was going haywire, showing that she did care more for Scootaloo then she lead on. Even when she didn't treat Scootaloo very well, Scootaloo looked up to Rainbow Dash, never letting her admiration waver one bit. She tried to impress her as much as she could, always giving it her all, never giving in or giving up. As time went on and Rainbow Dash realized just how deep and sincere Scootaloo's love was, she decided to take Scootaloo under her wing, becoming a mentor figure to her. Rainbow Dash quickly turned into an older sister figure for Scootaloo, with Scootaloo even proudly proclaiming that Dash may as well be her sister. Ever since, Dash has been protective over Scootaloo, though always willing to let her push herself and do her own thing. She has great respect for Scootaloo, sometimes even gushing over her. The feelings are mutual as Scootaloo never hesitates to praise Rainbow Dash. The two have a very affectionate relationship, though they don't really hug they give each other high fives and other signs of affection. In spite of her love for Dash, Scootaloo has expressed annoyance by just ''how'' good Rainbow Dash is, and how she doesn't think she'll ever come close to her. This hurdle doesn't hinder their relationship however, as it only gives Scootaloo more incentive to train and improve herself. =====Fluttershy===== Next to Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy is arguably Scootaloo's closest friend outside of Sweetie Belle, Apple Bloom or Cheerilee. Scootaloo loves and admires Fluttershy in her own way, seeing her as somewhat of a maternal figure, sometimes staying over at her house or going on nature trails with her. In spite of her love for Fluttershy, Scootaloo isn't above using or manipulating her for personal gain, such as when she tried to get her to let her time travel with Discord. Fluttershy cares deeply for Scootaloo and tried to save her from the Giant Carnivorous Bird when the bird snatched Scootaloo. Additionally, when Scootaloo got lost in Foal Mountains, Fluttershy was among the ponies who searched for. =====Twilight Sparkle===== Like Fluttershy, Twilight is arguably Scootaloo's closest friend outside of the Cutie Mark Crusaders or Cheerilee. Twilight and Scootaloo bonded early in Twilight's stay in Ponyville. Twilight took up a sort of kindly-older sister relationship to Scootaloo, she obviously cared for Scootaloo's happiness and well-being, as she was happy when Scootaloo befriended Apple Bloom. Twilight tried to mentor Scootaloo in their early days together, though it rarely worked out. Still, Twilight cared for Scootaloo, calling her 'sweetie' and tried to console her in rough times. Scootaloo respects Twilight and loves her a lot and appreciates the time she gets to spend with her. Twilight helped tutor the Cutie Mark Crusaders in various activities and it's clear Scootaloo loved spending time with her. =====Big McIntosh===== Big Mac loves Scootaloo, but finds her "tiring".
